Summary: Responsible for performing transactions for HUECU members. Has knowledge of and promotes sales and usage of HUECU products and services. Comfort with discussing account options with new or existing members. Strong analytical skills requiring high level of accuracy, and responsible for daily balancing of teller work and cash. Must use discretion and adhere to financial privacy policies and display a level of integrity and maturity regarding financial information. Employee required to float between all branch locations and to cover the First Impression Desk at the Harvard Square Branch as necessary. Occasional late Thursday and early Saturday hours will be required for the Harvard Sq. Branch and early Thursday mornings at the MGH branch.
Uses computer system to process deposits, cash and check withdrawals, loan payments, and account inquiries.
Controls and disburses teller cash ensuring that drawer cash limits are maintained when covering the LMA Branch only; otherwise responsible for balancing cash recycler. This includes servicing Guest Members through Shared Branching. Also is aware and informed of security/robbery procedures.
Balances daily teller work and cash. Assists with all aspects of daily branch settlement including preparing daily check deposit.
Has knowledge of HUECU accounts and services, cross sells additional financial services as warranted.
Processes deposits, loan payments and completes deposit verifications, address changes and other written inquiries received by mail.
Provides telephone assistance when necessary.
Sells money orders and processes cash advances assisting with the daily reconciliation of each service.
Assists with the daily balancing of the ATM terminals and the CoinStream Machine located at the Harvard Sq Branch.
Provides assistance to Head Teller and other retail personnel as needed or required.
Ensures all teller operations are in compliance with the governing regulations.
Will maintain a neat and clean work station and assist with maintaining the overall Teller area.
Performs other job related duties as required.
Must be able to work in the very diverse environments of Harvard University, the Longwood Medical Area and Massachusetts General Hospital. OFAC check also required with screenings.Please note:

High School graduate. Previous experience in a customer service environment, preferably in a bank or credit union. Previous cash handling experience required. *MUST BE WILLING AND ABLE TO WORK AT ALL BRANCH LOCATIONS IN CAMBRIDGE, BOSTON and SOMERVILLE.
Must be extremely detail oriented. Professional and mature communication and customer service skills necessary. Must be available and willing to work at all branches when required, sometimes on short notice.
