Carnegie Mellon University is seeking a Director, AsiaCollaboration to work in Pittsburgh, PA and to be responsible for coordinatingthe delivery of executive education programs and collaborations for theInstitute for Software Research (ISR) in the Asia/Pacific region (particularlyKorea) in the areas of (among others) software engineering, network analysis,security and big data.Specific dutiesinclude:(i) identifying, buildingrelationships with and working directly with businesses, universities andgovernment agencies in these countries regarding these programs; (ii) inconjunction with CMU faculty members, coordinating these distanceeducation-based program offerings at various Asia/Pacific-based locations; and(iii) coordinating the development and implementation of customized/specializedprograms on the CMU campus (in Pittsburgh) for these (Asia/Pacific-based)clients.
Must have a Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) inSoftware Engineering, Political Science or Business Administration plus two (2)years of business development experience specifically between Korean and U.S.businesses, universities and government organizations (resulting in extensivebusiness contacts with these organizations).Travel to Asia/Pacific region (particularly Korea) approximately 30-40%of the time.
