HMC Parking and Commuter Services has an outstanding opportunity for a part time 60% FTE evening shift Traffic Guide. This individual will guide, assist, and inform patients/visitors/staff entering the HMC and allocate parking for vehicles in parking facilities. Inherent to success in this position is attention to detail and excellent customer service skills in dealing with all levels of staff in a fast-paced environment.
Under general supervision of the Parking Supervisor, the person in this role will:
-Collect fees for transient parking in one of our three public garages. -Assist patients, visitors, and staff with finding their way through the hospital. -Provide staff, patients, family, and visitors, and staff, with information regarding Parking and Commuter Services programs and options. -Visually check entering vehicles for valid parking permits. -Direct the flow of campus traffic to appropriate areas. -Enforce rules, regulations, and policies regarding the use of parking facilities. -Assist with installation and maintenance of parking facilities. -Perform other duties as required.
