The primary responsibility is to support the Team Head, Risk and Control (Technology) to provide efficient and effective risk and control governance and management for Technology-related areas for the Global Head, Operations & Technology Office as well as assisting with handling of operational activities as assigned.
Coordinate and facilitate the implementation of operational risk and compliance initiatives and policies.
Facilitate completion of self-assessments (e.g. RRSA (Regulatory Requirement Self-Assessment), RCSA (Risk & Control Self-Assessment)) activities and attestations across Technology.
Gather risk data from different sources, process and present it in appropriate forms (e.g. key risk indicators reporting). Ensure accuracy, quality and integrity of risk data and to escalate issues.
Analyse trends in data, interpret the data, identify issues, provide insights into potential contributory factors and draws sound conclusions.
Working with Technology teams in the reporting of regulatory compliance breach and operational risk incident.
Monitoring Technology performance in risk and compliance management including tracking of resolution of issues arising from regulatory compliance breaches and operational risk incidents as well as audit/ inspection issues.
Performing audit management activities including conducting IT control health checks and coordinating with the audit team during and post audit.
Providing advisory services to Technology teams on risk and control matters including conducting special reviews / risk assessments.
Performing reviews to enhance controls and operational efficiency for access management and Technology operations processes and procedures.
Assisting with the handling of operational activities as assigned.
Maintain risk register by engaging with IT stakeholders. Update data relating to risks, controls, key indicators and associated actions as required.
Minimum of 7 years working experience in a similar risk role within a financial institution.
Ability to identify risks and assess adequacy of controls as well as being able to make suitable recommendations for control enhancements are key requirements for this role.
Customer service focused. Ability to empathize with clients' needs and instil confidence that their issues will be resolved efficiently without compromising on controls requirements.
Strong Analytical and report writing skills.
Strong command of English for written and verbal communications.
Minimum Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
Professional certifications like CISSP, CIA, CRISC, ITIL will be advantageous.
