DUTIES:Verify all bank deposits for accuracy and ensure all information updated to student account systems.Process and reconcile all deposits for hospital and campus. Secure and safeguard all hospital campus monies.Provide back-up for cashiering in processing all parking and other receipts for hospital employees.Process all tuition waivers for hospitals employees and bill hospital for payments. Verify payments are received timely.Disburse student financial aid funds and process student and vendor refunds in a timely basis.Communicate with Deans, Financial Aid and Registrar regarding account clearances each semester.Reconcile student loan programs on a quarterly and yearly basis in cooperation with the Financial Aid office.Process all third party billings for employees (BOE, VA, OVR) and monitor receipts of funds.Process and monitor health insurance waivers on a semester basis. Help to reconcile insurance account each semester.Provide excellent customer service to the SUNY Downstate community.(DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE ABOVE POSITION DESCRIPTION)QUALIFICATIONS:REQUIRED: BS degree in Accounting, Finance or other related concentration. 5-7 years of cashiering experience in banking or higher education environment with focus on excellent customer service. PREFERRED: SUNY experience and/or other government or state entity a plus.
