Essential Functions: Job PurposeThe Enrollment Project Manager reports to the Associate Vice President of Enrollment Management and is responsible for planning, managing and implementing division-wide enrollment management projects and initiatives in support of all aspects of the division's strategic plan. Serve as a liaison between Enrollment Management, Wayne State schools, colleges and divisions, outside government agencies and other educational institutions. Serve as a member of the Associate Vice President's management team.Essential Functions Lead the development and implementation of project requirements, plans and objectives to ensure successful project completion. Track, monitor and follow the progress of projects, action items and strategies to assure deadlines, outcomes, and reporting needs are met for division wide projects. Develop and monitor project budgets and expenditures to ensure completion of projects within allotted resources. Develop and coordinate communication channels and reporting mechanisms to facilitate project execution. Create communication plans to determine the flow of communication regarding project progress. Manage stakeholder relationships to build consensus regarding project scope and outcomes. Serve as a liaison between Enrollment Management, Wayne State schools, colleges and divisions; outside government agencies and other educational institutions Represent the Associate Vice President of Enrollment Services at meetings. Establish priorities and allocate resources division wide. Develop, implement and oversee division wide continuous quality improvement programs and initiatives. Compile data for benchmarking.
Qualifications: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSEducation Bachelor's degree Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred or equivalent combination education and work experience. Degree or equivalent combination experience in communications, marketing, computer science, industrial engineering or business preferred.Project management (PMP) certification is preferred.Experience Specialist (minimum 5 years of job-related experience) Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience managing increasingly complex and cross - functional projects At least 3 years enrollment management experience, preferably in a research university Demonstrated experience in a variety of project management methodologies (waterfall, agile, etc.)Preferred: Experience working in a complex university organizationKnowledge, Skills and Abilities. Strong problem-solving capability in a dynamic and complex environment.Strong leadership and organizational skills, and ability to coordinate programs and activities.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to plan, organize, and effectively present ideas and concepts to groups.Ability to work collaboratively with other administrators, outside governmental agencies and other educational institutions to plan initiatives and resolve concerns.Possess the ability to work with management, users and technical staff to analyze and diagnosis off-track projects and provide resolutionUnderstanding of the entire scope of Enrollment Management services Ability to work in a confidential and diplomatic manner.Able to take action in solving problems, while exhibiting judgment and a realistic understanding of issues; review facts and weigh options in line with the University's best interests
