Reporting to the Principal Investigator in the Silver Lab in Neuroscience. The Laboratory Assistant helps in running experiments in Neuroscience and will be responsible for maintaining laboratory equipment and inventory levels for supplies. This is a grant funded position for one year, possibly renewable.
Required Qualification Summary:
Requires BA or equivalent in biology, neuroscience or related field, laboratory experience in histology and molecular biology.
Understanding of immunochemical techniques, microscopy and digital imaging.
Strong computer skills on both MAC and PC.
Knowledge of word, excel and statistical programs.
Experience with microscopes and cameras.
