School of Dentistry - Academic Affairs, Office of the Dean
The Business Support Specialist II assists the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs in managing faculty affairs (including serving as the Promotion and Tenure coordinator and the My Vita coordinator), student academic standards, accreditation compliance, curriculum management, appointing volunteer faculty, assessment, and scheduling of courses. This staff person also provides support to the Associate Dean for Faculty Development in planning and conducting faculty development programming. This position oversees the Office of Academic Affairs, working with the Dean's Executive Staff Assistant to insure smooth operation of the Dean's Office. This includes: answering the phone, scheduling meetings, preparing reports and correspondence, and maintaining files. This staff person also provides a back-up to the staff who provide accommodation services for students with learning disabilities. This position requires excellent communication skills and strong organizational skills.
An Associate's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.
Full Time/Part Time
This is a full-time, benefit eligible position.
Salary range consists of $16.00/hourly (minimum) to $20.00/hourly (maximum), and is commensurate with education and experience.
