The coordinator will oversee the development and oversight of programming and student success initiatives within the Veterans Resource Station (VRS). In addition, the coordinator will be responsible for the delivery and oversight of workshops, events, tabling, and other on-campus activities.
This position will offer support to the student support team within the VRS who have the responsibility of supporting veterans, active duty servicemen/servicewomen, visitors to the VRS, and the university commumity. This position will also support the day-to-day activities within the VRS.
The coordinator will oversee the VA Work Study students.
The coordinator will lead recruitment efforts for student veterans, including visiting college fairs, military bases, and regional recruitment events. Will develop recruitment and promotional materials and working in partnership with Undergraduate Admissions and Marketing and Communication, as needed. This position will oversee tabling at campus events for potential students.
The coordinator will help new student veterans transition into NKU. This includes oversight of the PAVE mentoring program. In addition, the coordinator will help new and current students find resources and support they may need, including resources at the VA and regional support offices.
The coordinator, working in collaboration with the AVP for Enrollment and Student Success, will seek out grant and award opportunities to help student veterans

Oversee VA Work Study students
Bachelor’s degree required. No specific major required but military experience with honorable discharge is strongly recommended.
Must know how to helping student veterans transition from military to education/civilian life.
Knowledge of the detailed policies and differences around the numerous veteran educational benefits.
