The Board Training and Development Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and overseeing a wide range of day to day program functions for the Center. Under the direct supervision of the Director of Board Governance, this position assists in the coordination and development of public school academy board members, supports the Center in new school board member development, and its content development and implementation of the Board Development Series.
Bachelor's degree. Three years of experience in a related field. Strong decision-making ability. Ability to work with diverse administrative and professional staff, as well as various constituencies associated with the charter schools movement. Demonstrated ability to creatively address governance content delivery challenges and implement innovative technology related solutions. Demonstrated ability to coordinate the policy and program initiatives of the Center related to charter contracts. Demonstrated positive interpersonal, written and oral communication skills. Ability to manage multiple assignments and competing priorities while maintaining attention to details. Working knowledge of computer applications, database and word processing software. Willingness to travel within the state. Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed. Interest and willingness to work in an urban setting. Ability to handle an increasing workload and responsibilities. Ability to perform the essential functions of the job.
