The Donor Recruitment Representative will be responsible for:
Identifying, developing, and implementing creative and effective strategies to attract potential bloodmobile sponsors and feeder groups for existing bloodmobiles and for retaining donor groups sponsoring bloodmobile drives to achieve established collection goals ensuring sufficient numbers of donors to meet program needs.
Developing annual collection goals with recruitment colleagues and Nurse Manager.
Compiling and maintaining accurate records to provide tracking and statistical reports for tracking productivity and donor/group performance.
Identifying and applying appropriate measures to ensure efficient scheduling of bloodmobile drives to meet weekly, monthly and annual collection goals.
Educating potential donors and donor groups about blood donation via presentations and educational materials.
Serving as a resource person for patients, families, staff and donors regarding blood needs and usage.
Coordinating bloodmobile drives, including site assessment, publicity materials, and communication with collection staff and Blood Bank.
Coordinating activities with the blood collection team to ensure a positive donor experience and smooth efficient operations
Educating, orienting and training recruitment and collection staff in activities required for successful bloodmobile drives.
Participating in the development of the annual promotional budget. Monitoring year to date promotional expenses and maintains an adequate supply of all promotional materials.
To qualify, you must have:
The knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts typically acquired through completion of an Associate's degree and one-year comparable experience. Bachelor's degree preferred.
Excellent problem solving and organizational skills, including ability to handle multiple projects and consistently meet deadlines.
The willingness to work some evenings/weekends and be flexible with hours as required by the position.
The ability to work with minimal supervision.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, negotiation skills and the ability to interact effectively with a variety of audiences.
The knowledge of and ability to adhere to regulations governing blood donation and collection.
Certification, Registration, or Licensure Required
Valid Massachusetts Driver's license
