Swedish Medical Center is looking for a Vascular Sonographer (1.0 FTE, Variable) at Swedish Cherry Hill in Seattle, WA.
We are seeking a detail-oriented Vascular Sonographer to perform noninvasive diagnostic vascular studies using ultrasound imaging and non-imaging physiological instrumentation. This work may take place in a laboratory, patient care unit, and/or surgical setting. Our sonographers work with the Physicians for each patient exam in a collaborative, team environment. This position may also involve working at and travel between Swedish Health Services hospitals and clinics.
In this position you will: • Perform professional level, highly complex diagnostic vascular studies. • Make clinical judgments of the patient’s condition, based on information obtained from the referring physician, medical records, patient interview, and personal assessments. • Perform noninvasive diagnostic vascular studies using ultrasound imaging and non-imaging physiological instrumentation. In addition to the standard peripheral vascular studies we are seeking an individual with an interest and/or skills in Neurovascular ultrasound, specifically transcranial Doppler and TCD imaging.” • Prepare preliminary findings based on physiological and anatomical imaging data.
Qualifications: Required qualifications for this position include: • Graduate from an accredited training program for Vascular Ultrasound • Registered with the ARDMS (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers) in Vascular (RVT), or within one year of employment • Successfully completed internship in vascular scanning
Preferred qualifications for this position include: • Bachelor's Degree in Diagnostic or Vascular Ultrasound • Professional experience in vascular scanning
