The Clinical Research Specialist I working in the Heart Center Clinical Research Program will be responsible for:
Coordinating daily operations of the 1) Data Coordinating Center (DCC) for the TEAMMATE Trial, a multicenter randomized clinical trial of immunosuppression therapy in pediatric heart transplant recipients, and 2) Williams Syndrome Research Project, which analyzes the influence of this rare genetic disorder on cardiac outcomes in affected children and adults.
Assisting Principal Investigators (PIs) and Study Director in planning and implementing clinical research studies.
Assisting in the preparation of case report forms, form completion guidelines, research manuals, data summary reports, progress reports, and safety reports for clinical research studies.
Developing, implementing, and coordinating clinical research training activities for study personnel.
Serving as liaison between local study sites and Core Laboratories regarding study procedures and operations.
Maintaining clinical research study documentation.
Complying with all institutional policies and government regulations pertaining to human subjects protections.
To qualify, you must have:
Bachelor's degree, and a minimum three years of relevant work experience or Masters of Science and one year of relevant work experience.
The analytical skills to collect information from diverse sources, apply professional principles in performing various analyses, and summarize the information and data to solve problems.
Communication skills to effectively deal with conflicting views or issues and mediate fair solutions, and well-developed writing skills.
