Primary Purpose: Provide direct services for Focused Decisions' clients including, but not limited to, direct contact with clients before, during, and after events, direct contact with focus group/mock jury participants on event days, development of event materials, and act as a liaison between staff, clients, and vendors during events.
Direct and substantial involvement in client interactions and sales meetings.
Initiates and develops sales process by building relationships, scheduling appointments, making initial presentations, explaining products and services, and introducing new products and services.
Responsible for contributing to mock trials and focus group events in a professional and friendly manner to encourage future participation and positive word of mouth from our participants. Will also conduct the debrief presentations to our clients including both attorneys and stakeholders in a given case. Is viewed as a spokesperson and an ambassador for the program.
Responsible for primary role in completion of multiple consulting tasks including data analysis & assimilation, strategic trial planning, drafting analytics reports, gathering and developing demographic trends, and developing voir dire questions. Also involved with researching juror backgrounds, creating juror profiles, assisting clients with jury selection, witness preparation, and most importantly, helping the client to develop effective arguments and trial strategies based on the data collected.
Will maintain and continually develop a thorough understanding of legal proceedings and terms as a function of consultant role.
Direct involvement in both the creative and technical execution aspects of trial graphics and multimedia presentations.
Other duties as assigned by the Director and Assistant Director of the Institute for Administrative Justice.
PhD level education preferred.
One (1) year of experience as a Consultant or comparable work experience in a position requiring similar knowledge and skills as this position.
