Position Summary: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a FGP Billing Representative.
In this role, the successful candidate Position Summary:Responsible for providing basic front-desk support for clinical intake operations. May provide assistance to less senior staff with completing intake related duties.
Performs billing tasks assigned by management which may include data entry, posting of charges, posting of payments, charge review, accounts receivable follow-up, or other related responsibilities.
Uses payer websites, billing system and/or communicates with providers, patients, coders, or other responsible persons, to ensure the correctness and completeness of charges
Completes daily work assignments action plans; Ensures that work complies with operational policies and procedures, and regulatory requirements;
In puts demographics, insurance information, identification and updates patient information through patient phone calls and call center messages. Posts charges based on supebill information and collects payments from patients in person, by telephone or via mail. Reconciles credit card batching provides daily revenue reports as per protocol; Enters account notes using standard formatting; adjusts accounts as per directions.
Compiles and distributes appropriate documents for providers related to on site office based procedures related to fertility treatments, anesthesia, etc.
Provides excellent, professional customer service keeping the perfect patient experience in mind for all interactions. Follows workflows provided in training classes and requests additional training as needed;
Researches and provides all documents related to benefit waivers, explains coverage exclusions and inclusions to patients as per direct and telephone inquiries
Performs daily tasks in assigned work queues and according to manager assignments; Participates in workgroups and meetings;
Provides input and support on system edits, processes, policies, and billing procedures to ensure maximization of revenues;
Attends all required training classes; escalates issues to management as needed; maintains confidentiality; reads and applies policies and procedures to make appropriate decisions; works with minimal supervision; coordinates functions and works cooperatively with others; explains processes and procedures to others; performs other related duties as assigned.
Meets the orientation class to review the policies and procedures of billing as related to IVF and egg freeze, PGS, PGD etc. Able to speak to a group of patients.
H.S. Diploma. Experience in medical billing, accounts receivable, insurance, or related duties; or formal training or education in medical billing that provides the required knowledge and abilities. Knowledge of: Current Procedures Codes (CPT) and International Class of Diseases Codes (ICD10) utilized in medical billing; medical billing software; healthcare billing including Medicare, Medicaid, or other third party payers; terminology utilized in medical practices. English usage, grammar, and spelling; basic math.
Prefer experience in fertility billing and customer service.
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
