The Data Warehouse Architect reports to the Manager of the Enterprise Reporting and Departmental Systems team. This position will design and implement dimensional data models as well as the implementation strategy for an institutional data warehouse. A successful candidate understands enterprise data warehouse architecture, industry standards and data governance. The candidate will also identify and implement master data management in areas of need, to facilitate the combination of disparate data from multiple systems.
The candidate must understand underlying warehouse technology, including setup, tuning and administration, identify necessary security and audit controls, and have a deep understanding of relational and dimensional data modeling as it crosses all areas of the enterprise.
Education and Experience:
The following experience is required: -Understand master data management -Understand function and operation of ETL tools and processes -Ability to write complex SQL -Experience using Oracle databases -Knowledge of current industry standards -Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team -Excellent written and oral communication skills The following experience is preferred: -5+ years experience in higher education enterprise data warehouse design -Experience working with PeopleSoft data structures -Experience with Oracle OEM
