Assistant Sports Information Director (PACS II), Athletics
The Assistant Sports Information Director has primary responsibility for sport information functions at all CSUSM home competitions. The incumbent will also promote CSUSM Intercollegiate Athletics to the campus community and the external community, and has significant impact on the success of the CSUSM sports information office. Additionally, is independently responsible for setting up and assisting with taking down the scorer's table during home athletic competitions and various game operations needs prior to the start of all home athletic events. The incumbent is responsible for maintaining statistics and developing and writing press releases during all home athletic events, and working with the Sports Information Director, media and SIDs from other college campuses to ensure that results are disseminated as quickly and effectively as possible to all external media outlets. The incumbent will provide relevant sports information to our Assistant Director of Athletics, Communications. Additionally, will also help with other departmental projects as needed. The incumbent will assist with the video streaming program and the creation of pregame and postgame interviews and video packages. The Assistant Sports Information Director may also serve as the PA announcer at designated home athletic competitions and will assist with website updates and social media content as needed.

Minimum Qualifications include:
Bachelor's degree plus a minimum of three years of Sports Information and journalism/communications related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Valid Class C California Driver's License.
Ability to work after hours, weekends, evenings, and possibly holidays.
Ability to travel to away competitions.
Salary and Position Status:
Full-time (10/12 schedule), probationary position
Salary Range: $2,929 - $4,994 per month
Anticipated Hiring Salary: $2,929 per month (10/12 schedule)
