Position Summary: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a FGP Coordinator-Patient Access.
Reporting to the Assistant Director and Senior Manager of Ambulatory Access, the Patient Access Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the day-to-day management of the concierge services program that provides concierge services to patients to enhance patient access and promote excellent customer service, in our faculty group practices and ambulatory centers. The Patient Access Coordinator will work closely with the FGP Call Center management and the individual practices on improving patient access to providers across all practices.
Serves as the primary point of contact for all escalated calls from the FGP call center, to provide patients with a sooner appointment, or appointment that meets the patients needs. Analyzes physician templates and cancelation reports to and makes recommendations on availability in other faculty group practices or ambulatory centers, in accordance with the patients preferred needs.
Acts as the primary liaison between the FGP call center and practice management. Coordinates best appointment option for patient with Practice management, and follows up with patient to confirm appointment.
Researches and analyzes data related to physician templates and cancelations, identifies opportunities for improving patient access, and scheduling.
Analyzes and identifies discrepancies between physician template actual and contracted hours. Identifies where additional hours can be added to the template and provides recommendations to the physician and practice management. Implements/modifies physician templates accordingly.
Reporting to FGP leadership and department/practice management on findings from the monitoring of physician templates and make recommendation as needed;
Manages the waitlist for all practices, and schedules appointments as an opening is identified.
Provides recommendations and concierge services for escaladed appointments based on each specialtys scheduling scripts and the different nuances for all faculty group practices and ambulatory centers.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with one year of outpatient practice experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficient in Epic Registration, Scheduling and Template functionality Excellent interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent customer service orientation and written/oral communication skills Extensive knowledge of Windows platform, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
