Responsibilities: The Registrar is responsible for the planning, development and implementation of systems relevant to all phases of student academic records. In addition to coordinating all University preregistrations, registrations, commencements and degree certifications, the Registrar administers the University’s undergraduate degree audit and electronic course transfer programs for campus, extended campus centers and at participating community colleges within the service region. Incumbent supervises and is responsible for the preparation of official internal and external reporting packages related to academic records and enrollment. The Registrar works closely with academic administrators in the interpretation and enforcement of academic policy, and manages the staff, budget, and work activities in the Office of the Registrar.

Qualifications: Master’s degree. Previous experience in a post-secondary institution as a Registrar, Assistant/Associate Registrar or the equivalent in higher education. Must have experience in supervision and records management as well as strong computer skills. Excellent communication skills are essential and the individual must be able to work effectively as either a leader or a team member to ensure university goals are met. Must have excellent analytical and problem solving skills and a record of adaptability to changing environments, policies and student needs. A demonstrated commitment to diversity and access. Possesses knowledge of NCAA rules and compliance issues concerning the administration of intercollegiate athletics is required.
Desired Qualifications: Five or more years of experience and evidence of progressive leadership as a Registrar. Experience with academic enterprise management systems, including knowledge of web-based registration, grade entry and degree audits is highly desirable. Individuals with Ellucian Colleague experience and skill are preferred. Ability to make decisions and interpret University academic policies as well as familiarity with government and accrediting agency reports and regulations.
