To work with the Business Transformation Director in the formation of a change portfolio that is aligned to the business strategy.
Provide credible leadership of the change function that promotes drive, change and continuous improvement and encourages development of cultural change
Implement and apply structured change management approaches and methodologies (tailored to suit AL's growing business needs) – regularly review effectiveness
Ensure that change initiatives are underpinned by robust business cases and are delivered within quality, risk and cost tolerances
Certify that all significant change initiatives are supported by the appropriate processes and procedures documentation with clear business ownership
Encourage a cultural focus on benefits realisation across the business as a result of change initiatives
Work with the Business Transformation Director in managing the AL Change Board to ensure change initiatives are planned, impact assessed and prioritised
Work collaboratively with sponsors / stakeholders to ensure that all critical stakeholder interests are met
Promote effective sponsorship of projects and ensure a client lens on all project deliveries
Clearly define roles and responsibilities of sponsors, suppliers and project team
Regulatory projects delivered to meet new regulations in agreement with Compliance & Risk
Manage the Change Management function within agreed departmental budgets and holistic evaluation of business change risk
Compile and manage the Continuous Improvement portfolio ensuring business adherence to framework and governance and oversee the various CI prioritisation forums relating to existing systems and platforms.
Work with the Head of Delivery and Innovation in providing agile change capabilities to deliver the 'Continuous improvement' portfolio.
Provide stretching assignments for staff to add additional value and create opportunity for ongoing staff development
Proven ability as a leader in a complex organization, especially where high levels of customer focus and stakeholder engagement are involved.
Successful implementation of strategic projects delivering substantial improvements both financially and operationally.
Have experience of different project delivery methodologies and able to work in both waterfall and agile
Ensures client lens on all project deliveries
An adaptable and flexible leadership style
Knowledge and experience of Financial Services Industry
