The Global Currencies group is a growing visionary organisation, which is involved in the marketing and trading of a full range of FX instruments. The IT group that supports this multi-region business is part of a global, diverse team working in Asia, U.K. and the U.S.
You will possess an extraordinary technical and problem-solver capability and ensure high quality technical delivery, whilst aligning with internal procedures, controls and regulatory requirements.
What will your main responsibilities involve?
Contributing effectively within a global team and being responsive to the customer
Building a test driven approach to deliver solutions and understand the need to breakdown complex problems into manageable elements
Example work will include pricing models, execution and market making algorithms
These will be a blend of new Greenfield development and modifications to the existing trading infrastructure
Some third level support of the overall system is also required
What skills and qualifications will you ideally possess?
A degree in Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, Mathematics or a meaningful analytical degree; or equivalent experience
Development skills in C/C++
Analytical skills and enjoys solving complicated technical problems
Experience in TCP/IP networking and sockets programming
A standout colleague with excellent communication skills
Knowledge of contemporary development processes, build environments and testing tools
Comfortable in communicating with users
Additional script based and functional language development skills (KDB, matlab, Scala, Fortan, IDL, etc.)
Experience in 3rd line production support
Experience working with global development teams
Knowledge of FIX protocol
Experience in messaging systems like TIBCO, AMPS etc.
