Posting Summary: University Advancement's Office of Engagement seeks a Data Coordinator, (Advancement Coordinator- ADV47), to join their team. The Data Coordinator is responsible for data mining, list creation, reporting, and analysis that allows greater engagement of all UVA alumni, parents, and friends through event attendance, giving, and other engagement opportunities. The Coordinator assists with annual data strategies for all programs, collaborating with fellow Office of Engagement colleagues. The successful candidate delivers timely reporting on program activity as well as ad hoc reports to support global event and travel activities. Throughout this work, the Coordinator ensures data governance and privacy standards are met.
A Bachelor's degree is preferred as are over 2 years of professional experience in a related field. Excellent ability to work independently or as part of a team with a strong attention to detail. The Data Coordinator must have a working knowledge of data management and proficient in MS Office Suite with advanced excel knowledge (COUNTIF, Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Charts, Macros), and Relational Database Applications. Preferred candidates will have experience with (Access, iModules, Oracle SQL, Tableau, and IBM Cognos Report Studio). The Data Coordinator will be able to clearly articulate specific information. The preferred candidate will anticipate data-related questions and communicate solutions effectively. Knowledge of direct marketing principles or event planning preferred and an understanding of Process Improvement Methodologies and statistical modeling or forecasting.
