Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Special Projects Specialist for the Rutgers Health Group for the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
Under the director of the manager, this position serves as a key staff member responsible for the onboarding process of new faculty. The Special Projects Specialist provides appropriate support and administration through the onboarding process.
Provides direct support to incoming faculty members through the onboarding process, including but not limited to, facilitation of credentialing process, identification of space, technological needs and real estate referrals.
Serves as primary liaison between incoming faculty and university and school departments, including but not limited to, finance, human resources, operations, IT and faculty affairs, RWJUH, mission deans and department chairs.
Assists in assuring faculty compliance of university requirements such as I9 and HIPPA training and completion of required documentation as needed for onboarding.
Maintains electronic database of resources needed for onboarding that can be utilized as an ongoing reference.
Assists with scheduling of faculty candidate interviews and related travel, as needed.
Responsible for staying abreast of requirements and updating onboarding process accordingly.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Arts, Public or Business Administration, the Social Sciences or a related field, plus one (1) year of professional level experience in a business office, government agency, or university setting.
Equivalent experience, education and/or training may be substituted for the education requirements.
