An exciting opportunity for a Global Markets Compliance Manager is available for a talented individual to join a dynamic & growing control environment. You will join the BAMLI DAC Dublin Compliance and Operational Risk team, specialising in the day-to-day Compliance coverage of the Global Markets business with a particular focus on FICC
In this role you will be responsible for independent Compliance oversight of the Global Markets Business in alignment with the Compliance Risk Management Program and the Global Compliance Enterprise Policy and for identification and timely mitigation of compliance risks.
You will also provide day-to-day Compliance coverage for the FICC Business and will produce ad hoc project work and Compliance Risk Assessment processes. You'll have excellent written and verbal communication skills and solid influencing capability across all levels of management and with regulators. You can self-identify priorities, deliver to deadlines and handle contending demands and partners.
You will have a deep understanding of Global Markets products, including rates products, credit products, derivatives products, high yield products, currencies and commodities, acquired through a role in the Business or coverage in a Legal or Compliance function in a major financial institution, accounting or law firm.
What will your main responsibilities involve?
You will build effective working relationships with business partners, and engage with them to understand strategy and direction whilst advising those teams on how to deliver their plans while effectively handling compliance risk
Provide dedicated, timely advice on the relevant regulatory and firm policy requirements on day-to-day activity, ad hoc queries, specific transactions, new product initiatives, etc.
Provide assistance to the Business Controls Office in the development of supervisory practices
Ensure that Monitoring & Testing is conducted, in line with compliance risk assessments and on a timely basis with appropriate critical issue and resolution of any issues or matters arising from those activities
Assist in preparing for regulatory visits, including conducting reviews of affected areas; briefing relevant staff; coordinating the logistics of the visit and contributing to the follow-up actions
Ensure timely and accurate responses to regulatory enquiries including discussion with regulatory bodies relating to information required and deadlines, and liaison with internal groups to obtain information and prepare responses
Participate as required in internal investigations into potential breaches of regulatory requirements or firm policy
Work closely with the Global Compliance and Legal departments to build and deploy global policies and procedures
What skillsandqualificationswill you ideallypossess?
Educated to degree level or equivalent experience
Legal, Compliance or Regulatory qualifications would be helpful
Meaningful experience in a similar role
Excellent relationship management skills

Genuine interest in the securities markets and banking world, regulation and changing legislation
Experience in dealing with regulators
