Act as the technical team leader of a group of second shift development test engineers and technicians. Responsible for providing daily direction and driving the continued growth and development of this highly efficient team. Function as a key member of the team while participating in the planning and execution of key testing initiatives. Responsibilities include providing qualification test direction, providing technical leadership to the team as it relates to lab operation, drive operation, and test troubleshooting, test execution, provide work space allotment evaluations and assignments, and maintain a safe working lab environment. Responsible for direct management of engineers and technicians.
Drive completion of required tests as defined by the test program manager
Plans for and drives implementation of test set ups and work spaces for product tests
Contributes to the development and update of test procedures
Contributes to the development and update of test automation procedures and set ups.
Facilitates investigation and resolution of problems encountered in testing on both product under test and for lab infrastructure
Provides direct supervision to professional individual contributors
Provides performance appraisals, mentoring, and other administrative duties as required to assist direct reports in their performance and growth.
Act as an advisor to the test team and may become actively involved in test activity as required to meet schedules and resolve issues
Stays abreast of new test technologies and applications that can be used in test programs through participation in technology seminars, courses, and independent study.
