Position Summary: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Spclst, Early Childhood Dvlpmt.
In this role, the successful candidate The Early Learning Network (ELN) Developmental and School-Readiness Specialist will bring an early education/social/emotional learning background to develop and support the ELNs professional development and quality control metric. S/he will work with ELN providers and public schools to strengthen transition processes and school readiness for children. This is a part-time position.
Work collaboratively with the ELN to implement a uniform definition of quality and determine corresponding indicators for school readiness. Track this metric over time and work with ELN programs to identify areas of improvement, developing individualized work plans focusing on areas of continuous program improvement with staff of ELN centers.
Provide coaching and mentoring to ELN staff based on individualized work plans
Coordinate ELN quality improvement, including oversight of professional development content and quality improvement consultants who will provide ELN training and coaching
Attend ELN monthly meetings
Facilitate professional development for ELN members.
Establish and maintain contact with local elementary schools to strengthen connection between ELN early childhood programs and kindergarten.
Develop systems of support for children as the move from early childhood settings through the early grades.
Work with development team and Promise leadership on fundraising and grant development for programs directly related to the role. This includes site visits, writing and program development.
Work with the Data Research Analyst to integrate longitudinal data system and tracking into ELN programs.
Other related duties as assigned by Promise and Community Empowerment leadership
Minimum Qualifications: To qualify you must have a Masters Degree with concentrations in early childhood education or related field is preferred Demonstrated work experience in early childhood (3-5 years preferred)
Preferred Qualifications: Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred Understanding of issues related to education and working in schools and early childhood centers Excellent written and public speaking skills and ability to convene community groups and consumers Strong leadership skills
