JOB SUMMARY Serves as a trusted colleague and advisor to senior and system level executives, works closely with key system and operational leaders. Ensures the strategic alignment of projects and business requirements, while providing visable reporting on project status, portfolio tracking, financial implications, cultural transformation and overall performance. Provides expertise and guidance to Senior Leaders for new and established enterprise-wide initiatives. Establishes structures and reporting mechanisms for organizational oversight and goverance for new and established initiatives and business growth ventures. Is a collaborative and influential leader who can facilitate teams and work with various system and operational services to maximize overall organizational, business ventures,and key transformational efforts.
Develops and oversees the overall organizational blueprint for portfolio management of significant organizational strategic priorities and new business ventures/partnerships to achieve performance excellence, cultural transformation and long-term viability. Provides ystem leadership guidance and tools relative to prioritization and decision making for enterprise-wide strategies and cultural iniatitives such as strategies related to expansion of current market and community health opportunities. Assures oversight and cultural alignment of all organizational priorities and strategies to advance the mission, vision and strategies of PeaceHealth.
Develops the structures, systems and processes required for effective large-scale portfolio management, business integration, change managment and delivery of strategic organizational priorities. Builds strong relationships with internal and external key stakeholders, working closely with the Senior Leadership Team. Provides guidance and expertise for planning of large scale business and organizational initiatives to develop effective implementation plans, resource allocation, change management and monitors performance success measures and reporting. Demonstrates a commitment to working in a mission driven health system and shaping a culture of engagement with community partners, caregivers and physicians.
Leads the development and implementation of the structure, roles, and systems to accelerate cultural and business transformation through the integration of new iniaitives, strategic priorities and growth strategies. Prioritizes, executes and delivers projects within multiple areas of the organization in a timely manner.
Strategically advises on project priorities, options, risks, costs versus benefits, and impacts on other business processes and priorities.
Establishes plans for new business/growth initiatives to assure effective implementation based on clear business goals, performance success measures, risks, value propositions, and cultural indicators.
Provides the senior leadership team with high level portfolio oversight reporting to identify conflicting priorities, resources, and timelines. Facilitates and helps resolve competing organizational priorities.
Manages sponsor expectations and collaborates with them in order to aquire any necessary information and direction on projects and deliverables.
Educates leaders and teams regarding new organizational transformation strategies and business integration-related work processes, critical success factors, risks, and mitigation strategies.
Establishes clear structures, principles, reporting, monitoring, accountability measures, and success measures and systems. Responsible for superior quality of all outputs including presentations, content and education.
Provides leadership and works collaboratively with project management leaders, system and operational leaders and teams to provide expertise, build ownership and sustain organic integration-related change.
Collaborates with key leaders and caregivers to nurture the cultural change process of transforming from an acute to ambulatory focused system using contemporary change methodology and tools.
Recognizes and celebrates significant individual and team successes and achievement of key milestones.
Builds the goverance structures, organizational portfolio, planning tools and reports that can be replicated as standard work for future business development, integration and transformational efforts.
Provides management and overall leadership of coordination and oversight of significant organizational strategic priorities as established by Senior Leadership and Governing Board, ensuring project strategies and initiatives are achieved.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Master's degree in Business, Organizational Development, Healthcare Administration or related field required.
Minimum of 10 years of progressive management experience with expertise in dynamics, drivers and market forces shaping healthcare and related fields.
Proven track record in business transformation and innovation.
Experience leading organization strategy and change management.
Leadership experience in large scale hospitals, clinics, medical groups, or health systems strongly preferred.
Leadership experience working with system and operational leadership teams, physicians, business partners, and other key stakeholders for business integration activities required.
Demonstrated track record of success in leading cultural transformation work.
Mission based healthcare experience in a leadership role, with knowledge and practical application of ethical discernment principles preferred.
