Performs a variety of independent, specialized business support duties for the assigned department or office. Executes, documents and reports on business and fiscal operations.
Understands how the team integrates with others to accomplish team objectives
Researches information, collects data, and prepares analyses/reports (e.g., data, budget, billing, purchasing), as assigned
Completes routine tasks and assignments
Provides solutions to problems in situations that are atypical or infrequently occurring based on practice and existing precedents or procedures
Impacts the quality, timeliness and effectiveness of the team
Explains information to and within the team, noting improvements, efficiencies, anomalies, etc. to manager/supervisor and/or appropriate team member
Serves as a liaison inside and outside the team when resolving routine matters
Maintain department finances (budgeting, grants, payroll, scholarships, purchasing, reconcile Pcards)
Assist with ALP marketing (web, social media, printed materials)
Supervision of staff (including assigning tasks, recruiting, evaluation, training and discipline)
Coordination and oversight of departmental activities with other units on and off campus
Implement and assist faculty with university and departmental policies and procedures
Prepare reports, formal and informal correspondence
Assist students, faculty, staff and chair as necessary
HR Processes (PAF, additional pay, time approver)
Performs other job related duties as assigned
Sets own priorities in accordance with team needs
May serve as an informal resource/mentor and/or provide supervision for less experienced team members
An Associate's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and PeopleSoft Software
Possesses a broad understanding of the job and financial and/or accounting responsibilities
Applies skills and knowledge in a variety of processes, procedures and systems that impact business and fiscal operations/units
