Responsible to the Director of Intercollegiate Athletics, the Assistant to the Athletic Director is responsible for assisting in all aspects of athletic administration. This position performs a wide range of functions that incorporates all facets of athletic department operations. This position has responsibilities that include, but are not limited to, the following: developing the university brand; strategic planning and implementation of athletic department and university initiatives; review of all employment, contest, and revenue contracts; fundraising (major gifts and annual fund); developing marketing and corporate relationships; coordination and execution of special events; facilities planning; liaison to local and state government; public speaking appearances; representing the athletic program & athletic director at campus/community meetings and events; planning and implementation of new athletic programs; assistance with interviewing/hiring process of new coaches and administrative personnel; and collaboration with all athletic department external constituents to increase incremental revenue for the athletic department. Performs all other related duties as assigned.
