We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Senior Change and Risk Assessment Manager, Global Custody, Direct Custody and Clearing.
Act as a Risk Specialist overseeing the change risk assessment covering HSS Custody Business.
Ensuring full transparency of risk awareness mitigation encountered as a result of any material change
Building the awareness and visibility to the HSS business change portfolio as managed by Change Management team. Working with the change team to implement appropriate governance to assess the impact of such change on the HSS Operational Risk profile and hence the level of CCO involvement required in each component of the change portfolio, including tracking and reporting on the risk to benefits realisation.
Ensuring there is CCO oversight of the maintain-the-bank book of work managed by IT and that we are involved in assessing key changes to core Funds, Trustee and Fiduciary prior to go live
Sizing, implementing and embedding within HSS any HSBC Group sponsored risk initiatives or other risk related projects mandated by the Chief Control Officer
Managing the delivery of any CCO self-identified central programmes of work, which will include those specific to changing the operating model of the function itself or those applicable to the wider HSS business.
Providing CCO oversight of any support provided by the central change team, ensuring appropriate portfolio administration and governance outputs exist and that projects are structured appropriately and set
Support the Global head of Risk assessment and the Head of Change Risk Management in measurement and mitigation of risk through the Change Risk Assessment Framework
Regularly review the business risk management priorities, activities, structure and resources, optimally aligning to business needs and risk appetite
In-depth knowledge of Global Custody and Direct Custody and Clearing
Strong risk and control background and understanding, and experience of working with change and projects
Experience in risk management, implementing risk management frameworks
Experience defining and implementing target operating model, process controls and management information
Proven ability to communicate effectively and confidently at all levels across the Group
Understanding of technology trends financial markets and experience of working with technology teams
Strong leadership and management ability, including motivating employees in the wider organisation
High levels of drive and motivation to ensure delivery of a broad range of outputs simultaneously
