Contract - Experienced
Under the supervision of the Associate Director of Adult Education, delivers, in an effective and professional manner, adult education instruction to the college’s adult education students both at college’s facilities and in the field as assigned.
Summary of Essential Job Duties:
Delivers assigned High School Completion or Career Pathway courses following college’s, IWE’s, and grantor’s requirements and proactively works with students to ensure their success in the program.
Provides students with tutoring (one-on-one or through group facilitated sessions) as agreed with the Associate Director of Adult Education.
Enters student attendance in IWE’s database and the grantor proprietary applications.
Maintains accurate files (hard copy and electronic) for every course delivered and issues progress reports according to IWE’s training requirements.
Meets with the Lead Instructor, and the Adult Education staff on a bi-weekly basis to design and execute action plans for students.
Stays current on adult education practices and contributes to an annual program and curriculum improvement report to be discussed with the Adult Education administration at the annual program retreat.
Attends professional development courses and events in accordance with the program’s annual professional development plan.
Completes other projects and duties as assigned

Master’s degree in education or related field with 3 to 5 years of experience teaching adult education ideally High School Completion programs or 5 years of experience teaching middle school or high school.
A Master’s degree in math, engineering, or related field with 3 to 5 years of experience teaching adults or middle school or high school.
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, and Outlook skills.
Ability to multi-task in a very fast-paced environment.
Good written and verbal communication skills in Spanish and English (those delivering instruction bilingually) or English only (those delivering instruction in English only).
