Office of Community Standards Overview: The Office of Community Standards provides resources and education about university conduct expectations and administers formative and developmental outcomes within the framework of Gonzaga University's Jesuit identity and student conduct best practices to equip students to respect the dignity of all members of the community, respond with honesty and integrity, accept responsibility for their actions, while recognizing that we must maintain a balance between the needs of an individual and the Gonzaga University community.
Job Summary The Program Assistant is responsible to the Assistant Dean, Community Standards. The position works with University and department stakeholders to support student conduct operations in support of Gonzaga University's mission and industry best practices and coordinates the implementation of conduct processes. The position develops and maintains strong professional relationships and works collaboratively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, including but not limited to registrar's and student accounts, housing and residence life, corporate counsel, plant and construction services, and outside investigators and government agencies. The position must be adept at managing high-profile, emotionally-charged incidents that contain sensitive information.
High School diploma or Associate's Degree from an accredited institution.
Three to five years of administrative support experience.
Must be highly motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Strong interpersonal communication skills in order to work effectively with staff, students, alumni, parents, and external constituencies.
Must be able to work independently while using discretion and maintaining a high degree of confidentiality in an open office environment.
Demonstrated organizational and multi-tasking skills.
Proficiency in major software programs, including Excel, Outlook, Word, and Adobe.
Evidence of the ability to learn and use specialized software systems.
