A large global Investment Bank. This is a London based role.
Compliance Remediation Programme Manager has the following primary responsibilities, among others:
Managing the co-ordination and execution of remediation projects including initial scoping, development of plans, analysis of dependencies and critical paths and on-going monitoring of delivery.
Establishing and running key project governance processes including co-ordination and support to steering groups, change control, milestone sign-off, project risks and quality assurance processes.
Developing and running regular reporting including programme portfolio view, detailed progress report on individual projects, analysis of dependencies locally and globally and critical path analysis.
Monitoring and co-ordination of responses to internal and external audiences in relation to the bank's ongoing remediation activities. Ensuring consistency of messaging and management information.
Assessment of status of key milestones and deliverables, focussing and, where necessary, escalating issues relating to execution or delivery risks, critical path or dependency issues and resourcing gaps
Identifying and communicating best practice learnings across international programmes: supporting the establishment of high standards and alignment in compliance-related matters within the front office.
Provision of appropriate information as required under internal procedures and liaising with external and internal auditors for audits and other materials as appropriate
Assess challenges and remediation activities globally and distil critical activities and dependencies to achieve remediation objectives
Provide senior leadership to monitor ongoing global remediation activities, focussing on the critical path and develop corrective actions for any significant issues
Identify short term wins and develop global remediation strategy to create optimal plan and resourcing structure to address key requirements
Compliance Remediation Programme Manager profile:
Strong experience within a corporate or investment bank, or a big four accounting practice within Financial Services
Knowledge and experience in managing complex global regulatory programmes and large scale remediation projects
University degree or comparable vocational education / training
Experience of managing and delivering compliance projects in corporate and investment banking firms
Ideally qualification in project management disciplines e.g. MSP, PRINCE2, PMP and similar
Strong communication and diplomacy skills
Good knowledge of MS Office tools and project planning disciplines
High degree of proactive behaviour, creativity and accuracy
