We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Head of HNW Operations.
Give overall direction and strategy for the department in relation to the risk acceptability of the business in a fast changing competitive market, and to the delivery of top quality service experience with professionalism
Accept and authorize the acceptance of new business cases or increases to existing policies within prescribed limits of personal authority on a sound and profitable portfolio basis
Determine and thereafter actively monitor the application of underwriting rules, guidelines, philosophy, processes and procedure as to continuing market competitiveness, effectiveness and in relation to emerging or changing principles and practice and best practices
Responsible for optimizing all opportunities to improve internal processes and procedures within and external to the department in order to enhance the overall customer quality experience
Lead through sound and effective communications and in relationships with all internal and external customers, associations, regulatory or other similar bodies and build on these partnerships
Give direction and leadership to the team, influence behaviours through effective communication, building trust among colleagues and taking effective action for the business in order to achieve the business goals
Ensure all areas of responsibility fully meet appropriate individual and company standards of quality, quantity, governance and conduct drawing to the attention of other executive management any issues or problems that might materially affect any aspect of this
To identify and assess operational risks and controls and to timely report incidents to Operational Risk Coordinators
A high level of academic education and professional qualification, and commensurate with and relevant to the work surrounding this role
The role holder should possess considerable experience of insurance and related products transacted in the financial services Industry internationally, and a thorough understanding of the legal and regulatory framework in which we operate
