The University of Arkansas at Little Rock invites nominations and applications for the position of Director of Track & Field / Cross Country (R98867). The University of Arkansas at Little Rock, part of the University of Arkansas System, is a metropolitan university dedicated to providing excellence in education to a diverse student body and to serving the needs of a vibrant and growing region of the state. The Director will lead a program that competes at the NCAA Division I level. The UA Little Rock Athletic Department includes 15 sports for men and women. All duties and responsibilities are governed by state, federal and university policy.
Under the general supervision of the Director of Athletics, the Director of Track & Field / Cross Country will manage a Division I Track & Field / Cross Country program as Head Coach, in accordance with NCAA, conference and the UA Little Rock regulations. Areas of responsibility include coaching, recruiting, conditioning, scouting, budget, summer camps/clinics, administration of sport, supervision of assistant coaches, public relations, fundraising and other duties as assigned.
Required Education and/or Experience: A Bachelor’s degree with five (5) years intercollegiate Track & Field / Cross Country coaching experience.
Preferred Education and/or Experience: Coaching experience would preferably be at the Division I level.
