PART-TIME FACULTY POSITION-BUSINESS: Department of Deaf Studies, Division of Business and Professional Studies; MCCC/MTA DCE Unit Position
Anticipated start date: September 2018 (Position contingent on available funding)
Teach one (1) or both of the following courses on the Haverhill Campus:
Elementary ASL I, Monday/Wednesday, 2:00-3:40PM, 4 Credits
Intermediate ASL I, Monday/Wednesday, 5:00-6:50PM, 4 Credits
Master of Science in American Sign Language, Deaf Studies or a closely related discipline.
Must demonstrate: a high level of enthusiasm, strong work ethic, flexibility, excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and ability to integrate appropriate technology into teaching strategies.
Demonstrated ability to teach within, and contribute positively to a diverse, multi-ethnic, multi-cultural student population.
Experience teaching at a Community College, with demonstrated sensitivity to academically disadvantaged students
Bilingual (Spanish and English) preferred.
DCE step 1 level rate is $1,066.00 per credit hour.
