PRCS is seeking an Accreditation Coordinator to join our team! If you enjoy working with a team of dedicated professionals who strive for excellence, have the knowledge or are familiar with the Commission for Accreditation of Park and Recreation Agencies (CAPRA), have a project management background, and understand recreation program planning and implementation, developing or revamping policies and procedures, then this could be the position you’ve been looking for. Reporting to the Deputy Director, the successful candidate will:
Manage the CAPRA accreditation and reaccreditation process for department
Manage the development and implementation of the department program plan and staff training
Conduct survey research and recreation program research & analysis
Have a 7.5 hour work day, between 7:00am-6:00pm, Monday-Friday, including occasional night or weekend events
Strive to exceed expectations, foster relationships with positive and effective communication, demonstrate competency working with innovative and evolving technology and equipment

Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree (Recreation, Education, or related field)
A minimum of two years job related experience
Strong organizational and matrix management skills
Ability to work long hours, if necessary
Knowledge of CAPRA Accreditation process and previous experience in applying for accreditation
Advanced MS Office or similar software and database skills
Membership in Virginia Recreation and Park Society
Certified Parks Recreation Professional
Successful candidates will undergo criminal background, credit and DMV record checks
Have and maintain a valid driver’s license
Complete CAPRA Accreditation Training
