The Society for Advancing Business Editing and Writing (SABEW), is the largest organization of business journalists with more than 3,000 members. SABEW is a nonprofit established in 1964 to promote superior coverage of business and economic events and issues.
We have a full-time opportunity for someone with experience in marketing, conference planning, digital communications, development, awards and membership services.
SABEW is seeking candidates with a college degree and several years of association membership related work experience. Knowledge of social media marketing and member database management a must. Experience planning conferences, serving a membership organization, running awards programs and managing a website required.

Prepare membership marketing materials and monthly member update.
Plan and coordinate association meetings, conferences and events.
Produce journalism training programs in coordination with board members and journalists.
Manage social media accounts and provide regular and timely updates.
Assist the executive director with board governance and development duties.
Passionate about journalism and stay abreast of current events.
Report directly to SABEW’s Executive Director.
Receive bids for new membership, awards and events software and WordPress website.
Develop a strategy to grow membership.
Use the organization’s website to grow membership, highlight the value of SABEW to the business journalism community and attract SABEW supporters. Maintain and update website.
College graduate plus 7 plus years of association experience.
Strong digital and social media skills.
Knowledge of WordPress, Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Solid writing and editing skills. AP style knowledge required.
Telecommuting is allowed.
