An excellent opportunity has arisen for you to join the Trade Surveillance team as a Manager within the CB Control Function. You'll be responsible for the day to day trade monitoring activity principally in the trading business.
In this role you'll: - Strive to develop, amplify and enhance LBG's Markets trade surveillance tool through participation in the weekly working group, providing input into business requirement documents and participate in user acceptance testing. Key topics covered by the tool include i) price ;Transparency ii) Client best interest iii) Market integrity - Take an entrepreneurial stance and be willing to take ownership of issues and see through to resolution. - Calibrate the alerts to a clear control framework ensure that false positives are limited and that meaningful alerts are generated - Partner management with desk heads and their business managers to ensure that they input into risk scenarios. - Deputise where required for Senior Manager at relevant committees and forums, providing input and challenge where necessary. - Input into the operating model with first, second and third line by which generated alerts are reviewed, raised and resolved through a workflow tool - Maintain excellent records in relation to trade alerts so that a clear audit trail is available - Develop clear governance, providing regular Management Information for key desk and business unit risk committees which summarise activity and outputs of the tool - Record trade surveillance in ORS as well as results of key testing - Drive improvements in the communications review, linking alerts across different channels - Contribute to annual product reviews, risk refresh and control effectiveness reviews - Work closely with our Benchmark team to coordinate potential synergies. - Build out of controls / inputs used in the monthly pattern analysis which is aimed at mitigating risks associated with unauthorised trading - Assess/Analyse large amounts of data, mitigate risk and identifying patterns, trends and anomalies - Support our Monitoring & Testing team to define and regularly review a monitoring and testing plan for the key controls identified by the RCA process.
To succeed you'll also have: - A proven understanding of Fixed Income, Money Market and FX products including vanilla derivative products - Understanding of similar Operational Risk Framework methodology and systems. - Experience of interacting with senior partners and the ability to influence and successfully challenge management to achieve an effective control framework. - Influence and build relationships with other partners to drive through improvements to the control framework. - Whilst not essential, the following qualifications may be relevant: ACA/ACCA, IIA, CFA, FRM, PRM, Institute of Bankers. - Good level of Excel knowledge and able to manage large data sets (VBA preferable).
