WHO WE ARE Compensation Accounting (CA) is responsible for accounting, reporting and payment of salary, bonus, and other types of remuneration paid to employees of the firm. We are responsible for the analysis and reporting of wage information and tax payments to domestic and international tax authorities. In addition, we are also responsible for the accounting, taxation and reporting of employee share-based compensation. We work closely with areas of the firm such as Human Capital Management ("HCM"), Tax, Treasury, Legal and Corporate Financial Reporting. Compensation Accounting has five regional teams strategically located in Jersey City, London, Hong Kong, Bangalore and Sao Paulo. This role is located in Bengaluru and will support various aspects of the US International payroll operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS Job Description:
Responsible for the general ledger bookings of the international payrolls for the executives and expatriates involving multiple currencies and foreign exchange conversions
Responsible for the global cash bonus allocations and accruals
Reconcile balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis and confirm through the quarterly balance sheet substantiation process
Collaborate with the Corporate Accounting team and Legal Entity Controllers for foreign exchange estimates and currency hedges
Coordinate the payroll year end processes with global HCM, CA Technology and regional CA hubs
Ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley Controls and quality assurance to maintain financial controls related to compensation
Partner with global HCM and regional CA teams for benefits including relocation and tax equalization
Coordinate the tax equalization and short term assignee payments and receivables with HCM, external vendors, and the regional CA teams
Perform monthly variance analyses related to compensation and benefits
Participate in a wide range of compensation related and ad-hoc projects
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
5 Years' experience (2-4 years in payroll)
