Reporting to the Associate Vice President and Chief of Staff of the Office of Development and Alumnae Relations and working closely with the Vice President for Development and Alumnae Relations, the Associate Director of Advancement will support the College's major fundraising initiatives through a variety of critical responsibilities, including—but not limited to—creating fundraising proposals for six-figure-and-up gifts, high-level meeting briefings, bespoke acknowledgment letters and other correspondence on behalf of department and College senior leadership, gift agreements, and board resolutions, as well as developing copy for, and creating, other fundraising-related materials, as necessary. These materials are vital to developing and sustaining the long-term relationships between Barnard and its key constituencies that result in substantial financial support for the College. The Associate Director will also be responsible for managing prospect and donor tracking systems/processes, overseeing the Development website, and collaborating with departmental senior staff to enhance, develop, and support the stewardship of the College's most generous leadership-level donors and members of the Board of Trustees.
Required Qualification Summary:
Bachelor's degree or the equivalent experience
Minimum 4–5 years of experience in the development or related field
Superior written and oral communication skills
