The Trade Product Manager is a key member of the Trade Product Management and Transaction Services Asia responsible for:
Trade Product Design, Development & Implementation (Working closely with the TB team Asia to gather client requirements in Asia and with Trade Product Team to implement and expand the Trade Finance & Cash Management product capabilities for clients in Asia. Establish Trade Finance products competitively, efficiently and thus making a significant contribution to the overall result of the Bank)
Trade Product Governance (Working closely with the Internal Stakeholders: Legal, Compliance, Finance, Operations, Sales, Operational Risk, IT, Credit etc to ensure Product Governance in place and risks are mitigated, ensure documentation of the corresponding product processes are in place)
Key focus on product design (new and further development, optimization) of the Trade Services Products marketed by FC & CM (e.g. Documentary Trade, Guarantee Business, Trade Financing and Open Account Trade).
Establish Business Case and Product Paper, managing the commercialisation of the product from end-to-end, taking ownership of the whole product life cycle. Involved in New Product Program process.
Defining of product unit costs and creation of pricing tools for the assigned products.
Managing product variations and conduct Product Review whenever necessary to ensure processes and product parameters are in line with the latest regulations and guideline.
Prioritisation of Trade product development requirements. Working with central HQ in obtaining and coordinating feedback from stakeholders, as part of product approval process
Informing central product management and TB Asia leadership team on market/regulatory changes and related processes and maintain a clear view of external capabilities benchmarking, key product trends.
Work closely with Business Manager and Sales Team in implementing product capabilities and solutions to clients and to ensure products are fit-to-purpose and fit-to-sell.
Develop Sales Collaterals associated with the products and to ensure product is clearly presented and explained in line with the bank's marketing guideline. Maintaining/preparing product documents, presentations, brochures, and marketing material for internal and external roadshows, networking and outdoor events/fairs.
Provide training and education of TF & CM Product Capabilities to the wider teams across the bank concerning product development/changes
Drive end-to-end product performance, such as efficiency, straight through processing, improving turnaround times and ensuring scalability for growth.
Identify and mitigate Operational, Credit, Regulatory, and Business Risks associated with the products.
Issue resolution: Working with internal stakeholders in other functions to collaboratively resolve key issues. Identify risks and propose plan and actions to mitigate the risks.
Implementing global initiatives: Work with Trade Product Management team in rolling-out of global initiatives
Completed commercial training (e.g. as a banker), preferably supplemented by a qualification as a fully trained banking specialist. Several years of professional experience in the product management of relevant products or proof of adequate qualification.
Training/on the job course (e.g. vocational academy, banking school)
