As a Sr. Solutions Architect in our GWS Business Analytics organization, the primary responsibility will be to address the growing demand among Global Workspace Solutions clients for data-driven solutions. The successful candidate must understand highly available & reliable systems and its architecture, web based and mobile application development, middle tier systems development with strong experience in data, SOA and messaging based platforms, with working experience in various database technologies.
Document and publish the reference architecture as well as guidelines and standards for designing and developing target state capabilities
Build highly available distributed systems that present web services to various scalable data stores
Utilize open source projects such as Kafka, Docker, relational and no-SQL databases, frameworks such as Spring, AngularJS etc. to build cloud based products
Employ continuous improvement tools and competencies for optimal productivity
Collaborate as part of a cross-functional agile team to create and enhance software that enables state of the art, next generation applications
Define the conceptual and logical architecture for key enterprise capabilities. Work closely with Line of Business technology enablement leaders in evaluating architectural alternatives and support them in selecting approaches for provisioning new capabilities (build / buy / partner)
Work closely with the business teams to understand multiple functional areas of the organization to cater to the business needs
Identify and drive opportunities to simplify and leverage the existing tools/assets and resources across the technology organization
Driving adherence to security and compliance directives and best-practices
Consult with leads to assess needs and system requirements.
Reports the progress, as well as the challenges, to stakeholders in a timely and accurate manner.
Ensures focus on current and upcoming activities.
Provide clear and concise communication, both orally and in writing, to various levels of the organization and stakeholders.
Recognize areas for integration improvement and develop plans for implementing improvements.
Responsible for ensuring compliance with architecture principles, policies, procedures, standards and patterns.
Manage issue resolution for quality and functionality.
Perform other related job duties and responsibilities as required.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related area, or equivalent work experience.
Technical certifications (e.g. AWS) desirable
Established experience in large organizations comparable to CBRE
10 + years of broad experience in the information technology to include business architecture, information architecture & strategy, strategic planning in a large global corporation.
At least 5 years in an architectural or design capacity for 'large scale' enterprise systems.
Must possess strong organizational, facilitation and critical thinking abilities, to assess complex problems, analyze options, navigate diverse perspectives and objectives and develop acceptable Enterprise application and governance solutions.
Strong business acumen and successful track record in aligning diverse groups and opinions.
Significant customer technical integration experience, including analysis, design, and support of integrations and/or software (direct consulting experience is a plus)
Possesses expertise across multiple architecture domains, forward- thinking, and well-versed in emerging technologies and trends
Experience in creating and successfully leading delivery teams
Experience of managing product delivery is desirable
Excellent interpersonal skills across all levels of the organization
Proficient with API's and SQL as related to other programming languages
Experience with B2B data integrations including ETL and Web Services and API
Experience leading discussions with both business and technical staff to analyze and determine solution design, processes, and requirements
Experience working collaboratively to whiteboard solutions in front of a group
Experience with a broad range of technology and platforms. Proven ability to quickly learn and adapt to new frameworks, platforms, systems, and technologies
Technical Skills Required
Extensive experience in architecting enterprise products
Hands-on experience in C++, C#, Java, or Go Lang
Working experience with web technologies
Strong expertise in design, development, and maintenance of distributed applications & systems
Experience working in agile development environment
The ability to lead diverse groups to achieve common objective
