The key purpose for this role is to monitor the control environment across Wealth Management, Credit and Commercial services that the Bank supplies to it's customers. Ensuring that the Internal Control Environment is robust and meets regulatory standards across different geographies.
The incumbent of the role will ensure that there is an effective execution of BAU business assurance monitoring processes, including:
Perform first line of defence control activity including trade reviews, suitability reviews and complaint handling
Monitor Inappropriate Behaviour as defined by the FCA of client facing staff
Review of client take-on documentation to assess adherence to regulatory requirements, quality of client and risk profiling
Monitor call backs to mitigate risk of fraud
Provide feedback to Front Office staff and ensure the closure of identified issues
Work in collaboration with the group wide Business Assurance team, escalating issues to the Head of Business Assurance
Assist in the compilation of reports, including the Conduct Report and Balanced Scorecards
Co-ordinate, and where necessary, deliver on-going training to Front Office staff on Conduct Risk and Business Assurance issues
Maintain version control of business assurance policy and procedures and execute action plans to remediate exceptions to these policy and procedures whether internally created or if created by Internal Audit, Compliance or Operational Risk.
Represent Business Assurance at relevant governance meetings as required.
