Position Summary: To successfully lead assigned contracts or projects in accordance with company procedures and support the overall objectives of CSM business in the assign country. Maintenance of backlog, continuous improvement of margin, customer satisfaction, schedule and safety performance. Responsible for supporting RA customers during the complete life cycle of the equipment. This assistance may be to identify and correct hardware or software discrepancies, programming installation, application, maintenance, start-up, training and diagnostics.
Establish professional relationship with customers to ensure customer satisfaction.
Ensure that the baseline project documents are produced, maintained, make available to all parties concerned and effectively used in managing the contract or projects.
Ensure that the project is correctly planned and managed during execution.
Monitor and control the financial status of the project or contract (cost budget, milestone payments, warranty).
Manage the process of scope definition and change control, including estimating and negotiations of contract / scope variations (change orders).
Anticipate timely on important potential risk in terms of technical or cost.
Establish and execute detail plans to ensure that risk are mitigated and opportunities are realized.
Create the conditions to enable effective working teams.
Prepare sub-contract strategy, select sub-contractors and negotiate contracts and control.
Provide customer coordination of RA products and systems by performing the following functions:
On-site analysis and specification preparation.
Hardware configuration – system and product application.
Project coordination between customer, sales, product division, etc.
Technical support – field start-up, integration and maintenance.
Testing and acceptance.
Provide technical assistance to sales and customer personnel on product applications to include alternatives, recommendations, explanations, surveys, etc. to meet the customer's requirements.
Make recommendations for product improvements, especially as they affect operations and reliability of RA products.
Provide feedback concerning safety and liability issues as it relates to the application of RA products.
Ensure thorough familiarity with company policies and procedures. Appropriately apply policies and procedures in compliance with government laws.
Policies and procedures include, but not limited to: Standards of Business Conduct, Intellectual Property, Control Environment, Information Protection, ISO 9000 & 14000, government regulations (e.g. health, safety, quality and environmental), and functional policies published on the Rockwell Automation Information Network.
Applicant with 3-5 years of relevant technical support experience may be considered for Field Support Engineer role.
