Ackerman Cancer Center, located in Jacksonville and Amelia Island Florida, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team of highly trained radiation oncologists and medical professionals and lead the daily operation of our clinics.
Our facilities in Northeast Florida specialize in the most advanced radiation oncology therapies available for all types of cancer. The interdisciplinary team at Ackerman Cancer Center is professional, compassionate, and dedicated to the highest level of care for patients and their families.
Our Board-Certified team includes Radiation Oncologists, a Medical Oncologist, Medical Physicists, Medical Dosimetrists, Oncology Nurses, Radiation Therapists, Molecular Imaging Technologists, Oncology Social Workers and an Oncology Dietician.
Our facilities offer advanced treatments such as Proton, IMRT, IGRT, SRS, SBRT, VMAT, HDR Brachytherapy, and AccuBoost Breast Cancer Radiotherapy.
We utilize RaySearch treatment planning, MOSAIQ EMR, Elekta Linear Accelerators and a Mevion S250 proton therapy unit.
We also offer comprehensive diagnostic services for the convenience of our patients. These services include: PET/CT, CT, MRI, mammography, ultrasound and bone density scanning.
The Clinic Manager plans, coordinates and directs the daily operations of both the Jacksonville and Amelia Island clinics. This role supervises the nursing and clinical staff in a manner that promotes high employee morale, top-quality patient care and a professional clinic atmosphere. Lastly, the Clinic Manager maintains inter-departmental relationships to ensure ease of patient navigation throughout their care.
Major Job Responsibilities:
Provides leadership and direction for the day-to-day operations of the clinic in alignment with the mission, values, philosophies and strategic plans of the organization
Establishes standards of quality, productivity and performance, and provides staff ongoing feedback regarding status of these standards and provides direction in resolving variances
Ensures clinic compliance with all regulatory agencies governing care delivery and the rules of accrediting bodies. Initiates changes as appropriate
Collaborates with management, interdisciplinary teams and other stakeholders in order to develop, implement and evaluate programs and services
Exercises considerable judgment in applying professional knowledge in solving nursing problems within established policies and practices
When needed, support nursing activities in the clinic, which could include lab work, patient follow ups, and aiding physicians during procedures, examination, and testing of patients.
5+ years Registered Nurse (RN) experience in a clinical setting
Strong leadership, interpersonal and analytical skills with demonstrated experience in program or policy development
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Current Florida Registered Nursing License
Knowledge of professional nursing theory and practice to provide and evaluate patient care.
2+ years’ experience in an oncology clinical setting
2+ years’ experience managing others
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)
Monday-Friday with occasional Saturday coverage
Full time/40 hours per week
Hours of schedule may vary, but would generally be 8 AM – 4:30 PM
