Derivatives Operations provide operational support to Markets, Investor Services and Banking businesses across the CIB. Key product areas include Currencies, Securities, OTC Derivatives, Collateral Principal, Global Clearing, CASS & Outsourcing and Expense Management Unit. Global Clearing Operations supports Clearing, Reconciliations, Middle Office, Expiries & Deliveries, Settlement, Brokerage, Client On-boarding, Client Money, Regulatory Reporting, Static Data Management and Position Management.
Support clients through the lifecycle of their trades, including settlements, brokerage, exercise/assignment activities and physical deliveries
Understand client clearing trades for OTC derivatives, commodity and equity-related futures and options on exchanges worldwide
Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to enhance the client experience and resolve trade and position queries
Participate in client service reviews and meetings
Post the margins required by exchanges, using cash or securities
Your responsibilities will include:
Building strong client relationships and offering an optimum experience across all product groups
Having extensive knowledge of the product and the exchange rules covered by the team and is aware of the functions of the whole team
Being key contact point from client relationship perspective
Ensure trade and position breaks are escalated in a timely basis and awareness to appropriate escalation procedures
Checking production output from a control aspect
Participating in and contributing to UAT, global projects and initiatives
Ad hoc requests of the team are dealt with in an appropriate manner
Maintain clear and concise communication channels to clients and internal stakeholders
To be successful, you will need:
Futures &Options and OTC Derivatives knowledge - including a solid understanding of the physical delivery of contracts including fixed income, equity & commodities (Market & Product Knowledge for Asian, North American & European markets would be advantageous)
Minimum of 2 years' relevant experience within the finance industry will be essential
Assimilate information quickly and accurately, whilst remaining focused on 'the big picture'
Excellent Client focus and Customer care working practices
Strong intellectual curiosity for process improvements
To work accurately and effectively under pressure to meet tight deadlines
