The Operational Risk Management (ORM) team in Regulatory Oversight and Cyber Security (ROCS) department is responsible to ensure operational risk is appropriately managed and reported for the legal entities. Partnering with all areas of the business and support functions, the ORM plays a key role to ensure function owners have a clear understanding of their roles and responsibilities in relation to effective operational risk management. The ORM also provides support and guidance on operational risk related matters including new product approval, permanent supervision, business continuity planning, risk and control self-assessment, and risk event reporting etc
Support the Head of ORM, Securities, Asia Pacific in supervising coverage on Operational Risk activities for location entities include Hong Kong, Korea, Taiwan and India
Ensure Operational Risk policies & governance are implemented accordingly and in line with SG Paris Operational Risk policies and procedures
Coordinate Operational Risk event collection, enrichment of event data, perform review of events and tracking of remediation
Support the usage of permanent supervision reporting tool, and prepare tracking report to Management
Support the annual risk and control self-assessment (RCSA) exercise, and prepare consolidated risk report for legal entities
Coordinate and prepare material for various committees including Operational Risk Committee, Outsourcing Committee, and Regulatory Reporting Review Committee etc.
Participate in local and global project in relation to Operational Risk Management.
To support Business Contingency Planning (BCP) activities for the entities covered, which includes BCP drill, Business Impact Analysis completion etc.
Support ad-hoc request in relation to ORM topics
Help promote and instil operational risk culture by assisting training initiatives roll out by ROCS in Asia
Hold a relevant Bachelors or Masters degree in Business, Finance, Information Technology or similar
Past experience or knowledge in Operations, Risk Management or Audit
Advance level in Excel and VBA is a must
Strong experience in data mining, syntheses of data, statistical analysis and programming
Excellent communication skills; ability to convey and lead discussions with multiple stakeholders to drive issues towards resolutions with Senior Managers / peers
Highly motivated who can work independently as well as ability to work with a team
Ability to work in a multinational and dynamic environment
Fluent English is mandatory
This is a fixed term 12 month Trainee contract with Societe Generale. You will form part of the team on a full time basis. In order to apply for the Trainee position please ensure you have completed your qualification and will be available to work full time for the duration of the Trainee contract.
