Contracts Administrators at Aerojet Rocketdyne typically perform the following:
Negotiate and administer relatively complex contracts.
Evaluate the terms/conditions of contracts to assure they comply with Aerojet Rocketdyne policy.
Provide solutions to problems involving moderate complexity.
Participate in management reviews of contracts. Conceive and plan projects involving the development of new approaches and methods to attain objectives.
Execute contracts and certificates on behalf of Aerojet Rocketdyne.
Develop and recommend Aerojet Rocketdyne policy on contract issues.
Provide input to department objectives and long-range goals. Keep current within area of specialty in support of project assignments.
Represent the company as the prime contact on assigned projects. Interact with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordinated activity across organizational lines.
Positions typically require a Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate discipline and at least 6 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience must include negotiating and administering sales contracts with US Government and prime contractor customers. Must have experience in the aerospace industry, working knowledge of contract laws and regulations including UCC, FAR, TINA, CAS, etc. Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, customer focus, negotiation skills, and an ability to work effectively on teams.
US Citizenship required. Must also be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information, and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.
