The After Deployment: Adaptive Parenting Tools (ADAPT) for Active Duty study, at the University of Minnesota, College of Education and Human Development has an Office Support Assistant position open for a qualified individual. This position assists the Site Coordinator, primarily performing basic office and administrative tasks and other supporting duties as needed. This position will also be trained as an assessment technician to help train and mentor new technicians and occasionally complete in-home assessments.
Assessment scheduling and preparation (50%)
Create family information documents, track family information, maintain records, and update data spreadsheets
Schedule in-home assessments; send appointment confirmations and web link for survey completion
Copy and assemble assessment packets and gather other materials for in-home assessments.
Distribute subject payments to families after completion of assessment
Upload assessment data to the network after assessments are complete and reviewed by Site Coordinator
Record and document mileage for assessment travel
Maintain assessment kits, technical equipment, and other assessment related study materials
Assist in the training, scheduling and mentoring of assessment technicians
Conduct in-home assessments occasionally as needed
Recruitment support (25%)
Assists in maintaining a list of key contacts and potential participants
Assists in the tracking of contact made to key contacts, military and community agencies and potential participants
Sends recruiting information (posters, flyers, contact information) to military and community contacts as determined by site coordinator
Sends general marketing emails to military and community contacts and eligible participants as determined by the Site Coordinator
Copies and assembles recruitment materials and prepares materials for events
Attend outreach and recruitment events as needed and schedule allows
Intervention preparation (15%)
Prepare in-person group materials
Assist site coordinator with inputting participant information into the portal.
Distribute subject payments based on attendance and homework completion (as tracked and reported by facilitators to site coordinator)
Enter in-person group evaluations into Qualtrics after intervention is completed
Communicate effectively with site coordinator to ensure appropriate prioritization of tasks
Contact subject families when necessary for follow-up
Connect with subject families once assessments are completed and keep them up to date on study assignment and process
High School Diploma/GED and one year of office/clerical experience. Training/education may substitute for some of the experience.
Experience with Microsoft Office, email, database systems and customer service experience
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Willingness to adjust work hours to accommodate study needs (i.e. evenings and/or weekends).
Experience working with military families
